If you are getting started creating an Electron + React app then you might end up wondering how to create structure for your application. Since Javascript is interpreted language, getting the right structure to maintain our code often get challenging.

I’ve created a boilerplate structure for Electron+React to get you started. Download/Clone the repository from here

Once you clone/download the repository go into the folder where you’ve downloaded/cloned the project and run the following command to install necessary modules

After all the modules are downloaded. Run the following commands to start react server.

npm start

Your React server should be started and serving on port 3000. Go to http://localhost:3000 in your browser to validate.

Run the following command to start Electron app

npm run electron

Your Electron app should start with react page loaded.
