Social Media has become an essential part of our day-to-day lives and to deliver a smooth and hassle free experience, these companies come up with new strategies sporadically, howbeit, they sometimes end up pissing off the user with unnecessary updates and changing features.
Facebook is now giving an option to eliminate nav bar tabs and red dots that alerts you of notifications. But now you have an option to customize the tabs according to your preferences and disable the red dots.
TechCrunch recently spotted an option to eliminate certain tabs on Facebook and upon inquiry Facebook confirmed that shortcut bar settings is now rolling out to everyone.
“We are rolling out navigation bar controls to make it easier for people to connect with the things they like and control the notifications they get within the Facebook app” said a Facebook spokesperson to TechCrunch.
After Instagram has deliberately removed its like count recently in order to reduce the anxiety and stress level of its users, Facebook, the parent company of Instagram is also now giving an option to have an uninterrupted and untroubled user experience; equivalently will also sustain its epitome of viral growth.
Most iOS users are now equipped with this shortcut bar settings and rest of Android owners will be getting it in a few weeks.
